Wednesday we spent around twelve hours traveling down to Bradenton, FL, home to the IMG Academy and this year’s Super 20 Nationals Finals. The guys remained in good spirits despite the long haul from Knoxville, I believe they were helped out by the free orange juice at the Florida welcome center.

Once we reached our hotel in Sarasota, FL the guys were assigned their rooms and given a little free time to stretch and unwind. Before dinner the coaches lead a quick training session in the hotel pool, which was a nice change up to the team’s usual training schedule. Afterwards we had dinner by the pool.

While we ate I sat down with Nick Muth and Jeremy Saad to discuss the trip. Jeremy said, “We real excited about tomorrow. We’re a little tight from the drive, but we’re just excited and ready to go tomorrow.” Looking forward to the match against the Chicago Fire Nick said, “I feel like the game is going to be a step up. I feel like we are in a good position being a first year program.”

After a good night’s rest the guys were ready to go this morning, even though they had to share a dinning room with the opposing Fire squad. Our match today against the Chicago fire begins at 10 a.m. To get live game updates please follow our twitter feed.

Finally we would like to thank all our sponsors for making this trip possible.
